Carex is partnering with a health insurance industry partner to find a highly experienced Senior Program Manager with a strong background in leading Epic Payer Platform implementations. This contract to hire position is approved for Madison, WI or Minneapolis, MN (preferred) or full-time remote work in the following states: AR, AZ, DE, FL, GA, IA, IL, KS, KY, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, ND, NE, OK, SD, TN, TX, VA, and WI.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage cross-departmental transformation programs aligned with strategic initiatives, regulatory requirements, and operational goals.
  • Oversee project managers and teams, ensuring successful program execution within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define program scope, milestones, and business outcomes, facilitating alignment across multiple teams.
  • Manage executive stakeholder communications, including steering committee facilitation and reporting on program progress.
  • Ensure coordination across business readiness, communications, process design, and technology delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, resolve dependencies, and remove obstacles for program success.
  • Oversee financial management of assigned programs, ensuring budget adherence.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and support to project managers and cross-functional teams.

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in program management, including 5+ years managing complex, cross-departmental programs.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale transformation initiatives, preferably in healthcare payer environments.
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies and managing program budgets exceeding $1M.
  • Strong executive communication skills and ability to present to leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams of 10–50+ people.
  • PMP certification (preferred).
