Carex is partnering with a Manufacturing industry partner to find a talented and driven Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. This role will focus on new product introduction as well as product development and design.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with product redesign and development projects using tools such as DOE, FEA, and FMEA.
- Analyze and improve production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize layouts.
- Provide engineering support to manufacturing, including ergonomic assessments and human factors studies.
- Participate in the release of products to manufacturing by ensuring complete and accurate documentation, BOMs, and tooling.
- Collaborate with suppliers to facilitate production ramp-up and resolve part-related issues.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing techniques including Value Stream Mapping and 5S to drive continuous improvement.
- Use CAD software (SolidWorks) and programming tools (LabView, C++) to support engineering designs and automation.
- Apply knowledge of electrical and mechanical test equipment, CNC machining, and AC/DC motor systems to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Interface with regulatory bodies such as UL, EPA, CE, and OSHA on manufacturing compliance.
- Support the development and implementation of process standards and improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of professional engineering experience
- New product introduction experience
- Foundational understanding of engineering principles and the ability to apply them to real-world projects.
- Experience with SolidWorks and familiarity with programming tools and electrical/mechanical test equipment.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, QRM, and lead-time reduction principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team setting and take direction from senior engineers.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage documentation effectively.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within a dynamic engineering environment.
