Carex is partnering with a Madison based financial services industry partner to hire an IT Applications Engineer!
This role will serve as a strategic technical resource, contributing to the enterprise’s technology vision and architecture. The IT Applications Engineer will be a vital business partner across multiple teams, leading software development, integration initiatives, and strategic IT planning. This position is hybrid and based in Madison, WI.
What You’ll Do:

Act as a strategic partner to business units, translating needs into IT strategies and solutions.

Analyze current systems and propose improvements to enhance business efficiency.

Serve as the technical lead for the NimbleAMS platform, optimizing its use across the organization.

Design business processes and propose technology solutions aligned with organizational goals.

Build strong cross-functional relationships to support project success and business understanding.

Develop and own the enterprise technology strategy, aligning with long-term organizational goals.

Identify and drive the adoption of innovative technologies aligned with business priorities.

Lead the enterprise architecture approach and contribute to software development and system integrations.

Provide technical guidance across IT and business units to support mission-critical applications.

Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and workflows.

Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, diagnosing and solving complex technical challenges.
What You’ll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, or a related field.

5+ years of professional IT experience.

3+ years managing AMS/CRM solutions such as NimbleAMS, iMIS, Fonteva, or Salesforce.

Deep expertise in AMS/CRM systems, including data models, workflows, and system integrations.

Experience with data integrity, security protocols, and enterprise IT standards.

Background in application systems, data design, security, and infrastructure design.

Knowledge of integration tools; preferred experience with Boomi, Informatica, or Mulesoft.

Proven ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Strong technical documentation skills including creating architectural diagrams and workflows.

Familiarity with system reporting tools and data management processes; preferred experience with PowerBI and Snowflake.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
