Carex is partnering with an aerospace & defense industry partner to find a skilled Engineering Contractor for a four-month contract assignment. This role will support the engineering team in reviewing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and assigning Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN) to parts, helping ensure compliance with export regulations. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of engineering staff and use Siemens NX and AutoCAD within a Teamcenter-managed environment.
This is a contract role with preference for candidates based in Ogden, UT. Remote work or work from another facility (based in WI, SC, or MI) may be considered.
What You'll Do

Review BOMs to identify all Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical (EEE) parts.

Assign Quality Code 10 in Syteline ERP system to identified EEE parts.

For cable harnesses, add manufacturer names and part numbers to the BOM for quoting purposes.

Utilize Siemens NX primarily for 3D modeling and drafting; use AutoCAD for electrical schematics and wiring diagrams as needed.

Make minor design alterations as required under supervision.
What You'll Bring

3+ years of relevant engineering experience.

Familiarity with Siemens NX, AutoCAD, or equivalent CAD software.

Understanding and experience with ECCN parts classification (export control).

Capability to make minor modifications to engineering designs.

U.S. citizenship status (required).

Availability to work onsite in Ogden, UT, preferred; remote work or work from other state's facilities (WI, SC, or MI) will be considered for the right candidate.
