Our mission driven healthtech partner is looking to add a Business Development Executive focused on expanding their product reach to the Employer Market. When not traveling for sales or conferences, this position is in office and candidates must be located in Austin, Texas, Madison, Wisconsin, or Denver, Colorado.
Job Overview: As the Business Development Executive for the Employer Market on the Sales Team, you’ll report to the Vice President, Sales & Business Development. The Business Development Executive for the Employer Market has ownership over the employer market, partnering with leadership to develop and execute a business strategy including go-to-market activities, partnership development, and enablement and education for wider team audiences to win opportunities and grow the brand throughout the market.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Create plans and strategies for developing business opportunities in employer market
- Partner with Sales team to develop and handoff active opportunities with employer prospects
- Develop and maintain relationships with key partners in the employer market which include but not limited to HR Consulting Firms, EAP vendors and other key stakeholders in the Employer market
- Collaboration on campaigns, events / conference, webinars and other activities in support of business development goals for the employer market
- Become an expert in the platform and services and articulating its value
- Provide continuous feedback to the broader team about product positioning, feature requests, and competitive landscape
- Be an ambassador to the employer market for the company, our technology and the thought leadership that we are creating in the space
- Collaborate with the Partnerships team to educate and develop net new opportunities with key partners which includes onsite visits, conference attendance and virtual demos.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced degree preferred.
- 10 or more years of business development experience in the employer market.
- Experience working with senior executives, benefits directors, and other prospect key decision makers.
- An entrepreneurial orientation and a commitment to grow the overall organization.
- Excellent organizational skills and written and verbal presentation skills.
- Proven project management track record and comfort managing and working with staff at all levels.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail and a service-oriented attitude.
Physical demands and work environment:
- This is largely a sedentary role; standard office equipment is used, such as laptops, monitors and headsets, if needed.
- Significant travel is required
