Carex is partnering with a manufacturing industry partner to find an Electrical Engineer for an onsite role in Richmond, IN. This individual will design, develop, and maintain electrical systems with a focus on safety, sustainability, and quality assurance. The position involves providing technical expertise for electrical systems and manufacturing processes, while also driving continuous improvement and maximizing efficiency within an industrial plant setting.
This role is open to consider candidates with varying levels of experience from new graduates through experienced professionals. It will be a primarily onsite position supporting two plants at their Richmond, IN site.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain electrical systems and components with an emphasis on safety, sustainability, and quality assurance.
  • Interpret and implement designs from technical drawings and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Act as a technical resource for continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring production lines and assets meet standard operation rates and reliability targets.
  • Manage projects to improve performance and efficiency, including defining scope, budgets, schedules, and responsibilities.
  • Interact with contractors and customers through clear verbal and written communication.
  • Perform testing, evaluate systems, diagnose issues, and complete repairs while training onsite resources as needed.
  • Inspect electrical components during and after product installation for compliance and safety.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices by networking, attending events, and reviewing professional publications.
  • Ensure all work is completed in a safe manner and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Proficiency with design and calculation software; knowledge of CIMS is preferred.
  • Advanced mathematical skills with the ability to apply technical, scientific, and engineering principles.
  • Strong understanding of methodologies, tools, and techniques for designing, building, and managing manufacturing processes and product components.
  • Proven ability to design, plan, and execute testing strategies to ensure quality across all stages of manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with methodologies for both new product development and the enhancement of existing products.
  • Ability to work in a production and/or warehouse environment, occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs., with some travel required.
