Carex is partnering with a Defense industry partner to find an IT Systems Analyst responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting SCADA (Ignition) and MES (Sepasoft) applications. This role focuses on supporting system enhancements and ensuring daily production system uptime at the client’s assembly location, onsite in Spartanburg, SC. This is a direct hire position, with no sponsorship available, and is 3rd shift.
What You’ll Do
- Execute SCADA/MES development and configuration needs.
- Conduct SCADA/MES operator training sessions.
- Provide hands-on production support to maintain SCADA/MES system uptime, especially during 1st and 3rd shifts.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to design, develop, and implement system integration enhancements with PLCs, JDE, and other systems.
- Support the creation of functional specifications, test cases, and design documentation.
- Assist in the development of controls standards for NGDV operations.
- Analyze system performance and recommend or implement improvements.
- Oversee protection and security of SCADA/MES environments by helping establish operational guidelines for privacy, data integrity, and recovery controls.
- Develop and modify SCADA/MES systems, including tag database generation, report development, and system setup/configuration.
- Provide support in the deployment of additional technologies beyond SCADA/MES as needed.
What You’ll Bring

Minimum Qualifications:
- Two (2) or more years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Skills in development, documentation, process flows, ITSM, troubleshooting, and system configuration.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, customer service abilities, and stakeholder alignment capabilities.
- Relationship-building skills for effective collaboration with various teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Experience developing and supporting Ignition and Sepasoft applications.
- Working knowledge of Rockwell PLCs or Siemens PLCs, OPC-UA, and MQTT protocols.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Jython, C, C+, C++, Visual Basic, and SQL.
- Expertise with Windows Servers.
