Carex is partnering with a Mental Health industry partner to find a dynamic Lead Innovation Strategist – AI and Emerging Technology who will play a key role in advancing accessible, scalable, and personalized clinical care through emerging technologies. This leader will be a part of the Technology and Acceleration team, where you’ll leverage innovative, human-centered, and data-driven strategies to improve the experience of patients, clinicians, and support staff across the U.S. healthcare landscape.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize business challenges and opportunities for innovation and experimentation.
  • Utilize human-centered design and data-driven methodologies to uncover user needs and translate them into impactful technology or service solutions.
  • Define key problems and success criteria, generate creative solutions, and align them with company objectives.
  • Partner with designers, engineers, and vendors to develop and refine prototypes to test viability, desirability, and risk.
  • Design and execute experiments focused on user experience, business viability, and risk assessment using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Develop clear business cases, KPIs, and financial models to demonstrate the value of new concepts and align stakeholders through compelling storytelling.
  • Source and manage third-party technology vendors to support experimental initiatives.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to inform innovation strategies and recommendations.
  • Measure and report on success metrics related to experimental initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in innovation labs, product strategy, business strategy, or design research, including 5+ years in healthcare (preferably digital health).
  • Strong business acumen with experience in operations, go-to-market strategies, entrepreneurship/intrapreneurship, or venture development.
  • Expertise in scenario planning, forecasting, and business model development.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence across all organizational levels.
  • Deep fluency in human-centered design and experience working with multidisciplinary, collaborative teams.
  • Proven experience in developing or managing technology solutions, including AI-driven products.
  • Experience in client services or consultative roles, with strong project leadership and management skills.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations, industry standards, and best practices in digital health, data privacy, and security preferred.
  • Demonstrated cultural humility, inclusivity, and sensitivity in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
