Carex is partnering with a packaging manufacturing industry partner to find an experienced Quality Manager. The Quality Manager will oversee the quality program as well as manage individuals on the quality team. This role is based on-site at their Cross Plains, WI headquarters.

Summary

This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating the Quality Program to ensure it aligns with company goals. The Quality Manager will oversee the implementation of this program, including Statistical Process Control (SPC), ensuring production staff are properly trained. Reporting to the Director of Quality, this role ensures alignment with overall company quality direction and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the Quality Program and recommend revisions as needed to ensure it meets or exceeds customer requirements.
  • Train production staff on Statistical Process Control (SPC) and ensure its application across production levels.
  • Ensure product safety by following good manufacturing practices.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and customers to establish part specifications, communicating standards to production through check sheets.
  • Supervise and train Quality Inspectors/Technicians, ensuring thorough inspections and proper documentation of findings.
  • Manage the Calibration program and schedule for the Cross Plains plant.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis for Customer Call Reports (CCRs).
  • Handle customer interactions regarding returned parts, coordinate rework or other corrective actions, and communicate resolutions internally.
  • Participate in Corrective and Preventative Action Resolution (CPAR) teams to resolve issues effectively.
  • Stay current with new Quality Technology and recommend updates to the Quality Program as needed.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of quality measures and registration.
  • Serve as, or support, the SQF practitioner for plants, and respond to customer audits as needed.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Material Science or Engineering.
  • ASQ CQE designation, or progress toward it, is required.
  • Proficiency in Statistical Process Control and other statistical analysis tools.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Preferred experience in medical packaging and a manufacturing environment.
  • Desire for continual learning and personal development.
  • Experience with product validation and formal leadership.
  • Ability to hold others accountable, exhibit candor, and lead with a visible presence and courage.
